My Process & Story
My work is deeply rooted in slowness, intuition, and the process of remembering. Visual art has been a constant force in shaping my identity and perspective. After earning my BFA in painting in 2015, I expanded my practice to include a wide range of interdisciplinary work, with a particular focus on natural materials. Teaching has been an essential part of my journey since 2015, allowing me to share my passion for art and creativity in both public schools and alternative spaces.
Tattooing is an intimate and sacred part of my artistic evolution. I was born into a family immersed in tattoo culture, with my father’s inked sleeves inspiring my early fascination with the art form. Throughout my childhood and into adulthood, I sketched tattoo ideas and, in 2011, began studying illustration with the goal of becoming a tattoo artist. However, after encountering the transactional and patronizing atmosphere of apprenticeship programs in Buffalo, NY, I shifted my focus to conceptual and experiential art.
After years of receiving tattoos from both friends and professionals, I took a break from the practice, only to return in 2020 with a deeply personal ritual tattoo. This experience honored the transformations I had undergone, and I felt a profound connection to my Norse ancestors as I explored this ancient art form. Tattooing became a way to reconnect with my roots and integrate a lost ancestral practice.
Following my first self-administered tattoo, friends began requesting sessions. I felt it was important to offer tattooing in the same reverent way I had practiced on myself. I sought guidance from Gabriella Evaro to refine the technical aspects of the craft. Over the years, I’ve worked in several studios, including Love Always, Unfurl, and Frankly Tattoo. Now, after four years of tattooing, my focus has shifted entirely to ceremonial tattooing, offering deeply personal, transformative experiences.
Under the Skin
Throughout my life, I have experienced paranormal phenomena connected to my art—apparitions, synchronicities, and premonitions. For years, I struggled with fear and confusion around these experiences, eventually suppressing this part of my purpose. However, in 2015, after a period of profound personal crisis, I chose to embrace life and began my healing journey.
Since then, I’ve committed to daily meditation, somatic practices, herbalism, and reconnecting with the land. I spent two years backpacking through Chile and Argentina, engaging in field research, environmental justice, indigenous solidarity, and learning traditional stewardship practices.
In 2019, I moved to Dhamma Dena Meditation Center to study Vipassana with Arinna Weisman. The center's commitment to creating safer spaces for LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities aligned with my core values of inclusion, accessibility, and non-hierarchy. In 2020, I was given the opportunity to guide meditations, further integrating art and healing.
Since 2020, I’ve worked closely with Linda Sibio on Art and Mental Health projects, helping with lesson plans, performance pieces, and working in behavioral health centers. I also continue my mentorship with Kim Pence, which has supported my work channeling benevolent angelic energies, guides, and ancestors.
In 2023, I self-published House Oracle Bibliomancy, a limited divination book and deck created in collaboration with Julia Solano. This project blends art, land-based living, and spiritual practice and led to artist residencies in California, Washington, and New Mexico.
I’ve had the privilege of sharing my workshops and meditations in 29 Palms, using process-based art—such as paper-making—as a tool for transformation. My workshops on art and healing have been hosted at Arcosanti, Lookout Arts Quarry, Rewild Portland's Echoes in Time Gathering, and through the California Arts Council. I also practice Emotional CPR and Hanna Somatics, both of which support my own evolution and my ability to hold space for deep, generative work.
