Inner Illumination Support Community began in Joshua Tree, CA as a non-hierarchical meditation meet up. The intention for this experience is to create a safe(r) generative healing space for community connection. Here we formed a community of healers, teachers, guides, medicine makers, and activists who come into communal support. This space when held in person includes tea and folks are invited to bring a food offering for the table.
Most commonly the space would include a smoke clearing, bells, drone harmonium, and a guided meditation. After the meditation, we enter into our notebooks, go for walks, and/or connect through conversation. If a community member feels called to share a healing modality with the group, that is welcome.
