Hand Made Paper & Wildfire Ink Deck

Each 44 card deck was carefully crafted 100% by hand. This process includes making paper from my own paper waste, carving 44 drawings into wood, gathering small amounts of wildfire charcoal from burn sites after praying with the land, leaving an offering, processing pigment and creating ink, printing with a press, cutting, layering natural fixative to preserve ink and paper, writing, printing and binding a booklet, and creating a special case to hold these. Orders will be sent out by June 15.
This work is the result of a conceptual art practice relating to the transmutation of grief and trauma as it relates to the individual and expands to the collective. This collection may be used as a tool, however it is a delicate art piece that should be handled with care. The fragile nature of this edition is related to the core concept of this series.
